David Garrett “Legacy” EPK

Moving back to his classical roots David Garrett’s 2011 album Legacy sees him performing Beethoven’s violin concerto as well as various Kreisler pieces including Kreisler’s variation on the sublime Theme of Paganini by the great Rachmaninov.

All tracks were recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the legendary Abbey Road, and led at the baton by Ion Marin. Marin believes Garrett is somehow fused with his instrument. “He is so much at one with his violin, it’s like a natural prolongation of his body and mind.”
